Who we are

You're our Focus.

The Central Florida Focus is an independent media outlet run by students at the University of Central Florida. Started days after the closing of another independent paper at UCF, the Focus hopes to be around for many generations of Knights to come. As journalists and entrepreneurs, we believe that our connection to the community and the world around us is vitally important to our mission to provide reliable, objective coverage of issues important to the UCF community. We hope that this outlet provides students with opportunities to master their craft and learn new skills in a supportive environment. Through the dedication of our staff as well as many students, professors and professionals in the community, the Focus is able to provide training in a wide variety of media specializations such as videography, photography, writing, reporting, editing and more.
